Silvertips Acquire Conditional Eighth Round Selection in the 2021 WHL Draft from the Regina Pats in Exchange for Goaltender Danton Belluk
EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) have acquired a conditional eighth round selection in the 2021 WHL Draft from the Regina Pats in exchange for goaltender Danton Belluk, Silvertips general manager Garry Davidson announced today.
Belluk, 18, spent last season with the Eastman Selects Midget AAA (MMHL) program with a 14-12-0-0 record, 2.90 goals-against-average, and .922 save percentage. He suited up in two games with the Silvertips in 2017-18 and was 0-1 with a .714 save percentage in 40 minutes of action. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound goaltender was originally selected by the Silvertips in the tenth round (212th overall) of the 2016 WHL Draft.
The Silvertips officially launch the 2019-20 season with Opening Night, presented by Lamoureux Real Estate and SoundTransit (magnetic schedule giveaway) on Sept. 20 vs. Tri-City at 7:35 p.m. and finish the weekend the following night against the Royals, 7:05 p.m. with both games set in downtown Everett.
