TONIGHT’S MATCHUP AND SERIES NOTES
Seventh meeting of ten overall between the two U.S. Division opponents, separated by just 48 miles … the Silvertips have gone 5-0-1 in the last six games – and are three points up on Kelowna for first place in the Western Conference … their magic number to clinch a playoff berth is 7 points … the Tips are 71-58-19 all-time against the Thunderbirds and have outscored them, 378-360 in the series … Connor Dewar leads the Tips with five goals against the Thunderbirds this season … they are 18-9-2-1 against opponents from the U.S. Division.
TONIGHT’S EVENT
LOCAL HEROES NIGHT … presented by Wolfe Plumbing and Wolfe Fire Protection … expected to draw a significantly large crowd to downtown Everett’s 8,149-seat venue, will benefit local law and fire agencies via Snohomish County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation (SCLEMF) with fundraising connected to the game … to help raise awareness, the Silvertips will tie in their pregame presentation with Snohomish County Search and Rescue officials repelling from the rafters of the arena with a puck for the pregame ceremonial face-off.

LAST GAME (EVT 4 – SEA 3 (OT) / 2-16-18): Garrett Pilon had two goals and Carter Hart made 32 saves in a rivalry matchup against the Seattle Thunderbirds that was forced to overtime on Friday night, a 4-3 Everett Silvertips victory in OT before an announced crowd of 6,409 at ShoWare Center in WHL action. The Silvertips took their first win in ShoWare Center in ten games, dating back to Feb. 6, 2016, and kicked off the first of a back-to-back against the Thunderbirds, keeping their spot atop the Western Conference and U.S. Division. Kevin Davis added a goal, and Bryce Kindopp scored the game winner to even the season series at 3-3. Carter Hart, making 30 saves, passed Leland Irving with 108 career wins to become the all-time wins leader in Silvertips history.
