Silvertips extend lease with Angel of the Winds Arena through 2027-28
Everett, WA – Angel Of The Winds Arena and the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League announce a renewal of their agreement, extending what has been 20 years of Silvertips hockey in Everett, WA for a guaranteed 5 more years.
The renewal means that the Silvertips will play all of their home games at Angel Of The Winds Arena, managed by OVG360, through at least the 2027-2028 season. This partnership renewal is especially impactful in timing, as the facility prepares to celebrate its’ 20th Anniversary year of bringing the best in live events and sporting experiences to the Everett and Snohomish County community.

Corey Margolis, General Manager for OVG360 at Angel Of The Winds Arena states, “The Silvertips have been a key component of the facility since opening back in 2003, and we are ecstatic at the opportunity to continue our collaboration with the Silvertips organization to deliver incredible hockey to our community by this storied franchise.”
While Angel Of The Winds Arena opens its doors to over 300,000 guests annually, the facility and WHL team also widely focus on giving back through charitable events such as the annual “Pink The Rink” and “Teddy Bear Toss” which saw over $200,000 in donations in the 2022 season alone. Additionally, the facility, including the Everett Community Ice Rink, focuses on ice sports and acts as a community pillar year-round with over 625 public skate sessions, “Learn to Skate” sessions, and youth and adult hockey and figure skating, with over 200,000 participants annually.

Some of these investments by the EPFD and OVG360 include:
• The installation of a state of the art 360-degree LED ribbon board; the highest resolution ribbon
board that Daktronics had installed.
• A new and upgraded ice plant refrigeration system, as well as new walls in the Everett Community
Ice Rink, designed to keep the space in top condition for hundreds of thousands of annual users
for years to come.
• Installation of Xtract One’s SmartGateway system, a cutting-edge security and weapons detection
system to provide fast, convenient and modern entry experiences.

With 686 total regular season games played at Angel Of The Winds Arena over the Silvertips entire
franchise history, some home highlights include:
• A .598 overall points percentage; 3rd-best in the WHL since entering the league
• Home record over 20 seasons: 415-205-9-24-33; the .653 points percentage is 4th-best in the
WHL since 2003-04
• Home record since 2017-18: 129-41-6-6; most wins and highest points percentage (.741) in the
WHL in that span
• Jackson Berezowski ties the single-season goals record (47) with a hat trick in his final home
game on March 24, 2023. He scored his 48th on the road the following night in Victoria.
• 13 NHL Draft picks since 2018
• 24 total Silvertips have played in the NHL, including Stanley Cup Champion Ryan Murray
and Eastern Conference Champion Radko Gudas
