EVT 6 – SEA 1 (12-15-18): Martin Fasko-Rudas made the teddy bears rain down tonight early in the first period and the Everett Silvertips coasted to an impressive 6-1 blowout win over the Seattle Thunderbirds before a sellout crowd of 8,133 fans at Angel of the Winds Arena. The Silvertips, earning their 11^th win in 12 games, had 11 different players on the scoresheet and a strong defensive game kept the Thunderbirds with minimal shots and minimal goals. The Tips ran their point streak to 14 games, at 12-0-2. Tips fans donated 9,719 stuffed animals and bumped the total to nearly 35,000 to local kids across Snohomish County over the last four seasons since the event’s return to downtown Everett.

TOP 5 TIPS TIDBITS

• MOVIN’ ON UP: The Tips entered today ranked #5 in the CHL Top-10 rankings … they have resided in the Top 10 for the last five weeks … the Tips have won or gained points in 19 of the past 21 games … their 56 points are second most in the WHL.
• MEET ME HALFWAY: At the half pole of the season, the Tips owned the third best record in franchise history through 34 games … only the 2016-17 Silvertips (54 points) and 2006-07 team (57 points) earned more points at the 34-game mark.
• GOALTENDING ORIENTED: Tips goaltender Dustin Wolf was named WHL Goaltender of the Week for the third time of the season on Dec. 10 and CHL Goaltender of the Week (2^nd of his career) on the next day … his 21 save shutout on Dec. 9 was the 7^th of his career, moving to 5^th all-time in Tips history (surpassing Thomas Heemskerk and Kent Simpson) … since Nov. 1 (entering the holiday break), Wolf leads the WHL in wins (15) and is second in save percentage (.932 – minimum 200 minutes played).
• BRYCE YOURSELVES: Tips forward Bryce Kindopp leads the team in points (10) and goals (8) for the month of December, covering 7 games.
• GOAL ORIENTED, TOO: The Tips exited the holiday break 9^th in the league for goals per game (3.4) … they have scored 13 goals in the last four games.
