Rymon, who attended preliminary camp with Czechia over the summer and played in the Five Nations tournament in August, leads the Silvertips in scoring with 43 points (18 goals, 25 assists) in 32 games played. He trails only Prince George’s Ondrej Becher, a fellow countryman, in scoring by an import skater in the Western Hockey League this season.
Fifteen of Rymon’s 43 points have come on the powerplay, with four goals and 11 assists on the man advantage. He also has recorded two goals and an assist while shorthanded. Rymon was recently named WHL Player of the Week for a three-goal, five-assist performance over two games on Dec. 8 and 9.
The 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship is set to begin on Dec. 26 as Czechia takes on Slovakia.
