Royals Acquire Escalus Burlock from Red Deer
Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals announced today the acquisition of 2006 born forward Escalus Burlock from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a seventh round selection in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
Standing at 6’4” and 204 lbs, the product of Edmonton, AB. split the 2022-23 season between the Red Deer Rebels, where he suited up in eight games, scoring once, and the Edmonton Jr. Oilers (U18 UEHL) where he played in 30 games.
During his time with the Jr. Oilers, Burlock produced at nearly a point-per-game pace as he registered 14 goals and added 13 assists for 27 points.
Escalus was a standout during his time with the CAC Canadians (U18 AEHL) prior to his time with the Jr. Oilers as he notched 26 goals and 16 assists for 42 points during the 2021-22 campaign.
Burlock was originally drafted 135th overall in the seventh round of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
