Wild Week Begins with Trip to Seattle

Kelowna Rockets players and coaches boarded the Rockets bus today and headed for Seattle, kicking off a week where they will be back and forth across the Canada-US border twice.
The Rockets left for Seattle Monday afternoon, heading for a Tuesday night game against the Thunderbirds.
The Rockets (15-2-0-2) will put an eight game winning streak on the line in Seattle against a Thunderbirds team that nearly knocked off the Rockets in the first round of last year’s playoffs, before Kelowna came back from down 3-0 to win the series in seven games.
This year Seattle is off to a 12-8-1-2 start, but still sits in fifth in the competitive US Division, where points are at a premium due to the tight race.
The Rockets are coming off a week where they played just once, a 4-3 win on Saturday night at Prospera Place in front of 5,269.
But this week is a different story as the Rockets play three games in four nights, all against teams with records above .500
After Tuesday’s battle in Seattle, Kelowna returns home to play Victoria (13-10-0-1) on Wednesday before getting back on the bus the next day, heading for a Friday night game in Kennwick, WA against the Tri-City Americans (13-10-0-2)
