Tigers Double Rebels 4-2
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Red Deer Rebels went into Tuesday night’s game with the Medicine Hat Tigers picking up points in 10 of their last 11 games, but it was the Tigers who came away with the win, the final score was 4-2 for Medicine Hat.
Tigers got the only goal of the first period, Cole Sanford found the net.
In the second period, the Tigers made it 2-0 on a goal from Ty Stanton. Later in the period, Tommy Vanelli came out of the penalty box and joined the rush; he made it 3-0. That was the score after two periods.
In the third, the Tigers increased their lead to 4-0 after goal by David Quenneville. The Rebels were able to get goals from Presten Kopeck and Wyatt Johnson to close the gap.
Red Deer was 1 for 6 on the power play and killed all 6 shorthanded situations.
Rylan Toth made 35 saves in the Rebels net; Marek Langhamer made 23 saves in the Tigers goal.
