Second Round Tickets
The Red Deer Rebels have confirmed that tickets for the First Two games of the 2nd Round of the Western Hockey League playoffs in Red Deer will go on sale Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00am at all Ticketmaster outlets.
By virtue of finishing second in the Eastern Conference and second overall in the Western Hockey League during the regular season, the Red Deer Rebels have secured home ice advantage for a minimum of two rounds of the 2011 Western Hockey League post season. The Red Deer Rebels will open the 2nd Round of the WHL Playoffs at the ENMAX Centrium with games on Friday, April 8th and Saturday, 9th. Game times for both games will be 7:30pm.
The Red Deer Rebels’ opponent for the 2nd Round of the WHL Playoffs has yet to be determined. Red Deer could possibly face any of the following teams, depending upon the outcomes of their various series: Medicine Hat Tigers (currently tied 2-2 in their series with Brandon); Moose Jaw Warriors or Kootenay Ice (currently deadlocked at 2 wins a piece in their series) or the Prince Albert Raiders (tied 2 to 2 in their series with Saskatoon).
Jerry Van Someren, Red Deer Rebels Governor says: “We have spoken with all of the possible opponents in the 2nd Round and confirmed that each of them is available to play in Red Deer on the 8th and the 9th. We have also confirmed with the League Office that we will be playing at the ENMAX Centrium on those two dates. The playoff picture could remain unclear until the middle of next week in terms of the opponent. As a service to our fans, we wanted to get the tickets on sale as soon as possible.”
