Rebels Over Rockets
The Red Deer Rebels survived a furious third period push by the Kelowna Rockets and earned a 6-4 win over the Rockets at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
Kelowna scored three third period goals but couldn’t quite come all the way back on Red Deer.
Brett Bulmer led the way offensively with three assists for the Rockets as Kelowna clawed back from a 4-1 deficit to make the score 5-4 late in the third period. The comeback would falter though when Tyson Ness was creditted with Red Deer’s sixth goal, one that appeared to go in off of a Rockets stick.
John Persson, Kayle Doetzel, Turner Elson, Alex Petrovic and Mason Burr scored for the Rebels.
The win improves Red Deer’s record to to 12-5-0-1
