Kambeitz Powers Rebels
After a tough defeat at the hands of the Saskatoon Blades Friday night, the Rebels took advantage of a tired Raiders club, and cruised to a 6-2 victory Saturday night. Adam Kambeitz lead the way with 3 goals, with Andrej Kudrna and Byron Froese (2) rounding out the scoring. Alex Petrovic and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins chipped in with 3 assists, while Darcy Kuemper finished with 21 saves. Mike Winther and Igor Revenko replied for Prince Albert, with Eric Williams stopping 46 of 52 shots.
Next action for the Rebels is a Wednesday matchup with Kamloops, before the teams heads out on a weekend trip to Cranbrook and Spokane. Remember fans, October 30 is minor hockey/ringetter kickoff night. Young ringette and hockey players get into the game for $5 if they wear they’re team jersey.
