SEASON SERIES GAME RECAPS
TUE. FEB. 27 – Chase Wutzke made 36 saves for his first career shutout, and Kai Uchacz had two goals and two assists to lead the Rebels to an impressive 5-0 over the league leading Saskatoon Blades at SaskTel Centre. Ollie Josephson had a goal and an assist. Frantisek Formanek and Talon Brigley also scored. Saskatoon outshot Red Deer 36-20 and both teams were 0-for-4 on the power play.
WED. JAN. 17 – Hunter Mayo’s first career hat trick helped lead the Rebels to a thrilling 5-4 win over the CHL top-ranked Saskatoon Blades at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Talon Brigley and Frantisek Formanek also scored for Red Deer. Kai Uchacz and Kalan Lind each had two assists. Chase Wutzke made 31 saves, several of them spectacular. Saskatoon outshot Red Deer 35-27 and was 1-for-3 on the power play while the Rebels were 1-for-1.
FRI. DEC. 8 – The Rebels battled to the end but came up on the short end of a 4-2 decision to the Saskatoon Blades at SaskTel Centre. Samuel Drancak scored both Rebels goals, including a third period power play tally. Dwayne Jean Jr., Quentin Bourne, Talon Brigley and Frantisek Formanek each had assists. Rhett Stoesser made 23 saves. Both teams were 1-for-3 on the power play.
SAT. OCT. 21 – The Rebels unveiled their all-new alternate jerseys in a highly anticipated playoff rematch with the Blades. Jhett Larson scored a power play goal for the Rebels, unfortunately a second period tally for the Blades was the difference in a 2-1 win for Saskatoon. Rhett Stoesser gave Red Deer another great goaltending performance in front of over 4,500 fans at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Red Deer outshot Saskatoon 27-25 and was 1-for-2 on the power play while the Blades were 1-for-3.
