Raiders Tame Broncos in Shootout

The Prince Albert Raiders battled back from a second period deficit to defeat the Swift Current Broncos 2-1 in a shootout Tuesday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

 

The Broncos scored on a late second period power play, but Leon Draisaitl answered with a power play goal of his own to start the third period. The rest of the game was a deadlock, and overtime solved nothing as the game headed to a shootout.

 

In the shootout, Leon Draisaitl calmly slipped a backhander through the Broncos’ net minder’s legs, and Luke Siemens shut down all three Swift Current shooters to solidify the victory for the home team.

 

Shane Danyluk earned the Dickies Hardest Working Raider honours with an impressive performance in all three zones on the ice.
