Penalties a plenty in Raider loss
Prince Albert, SK – Seattle dominated the game early with their size and speed. Scoring 3 goals in less than a minute an a half, the Thunderbirds silenced Raider fans early in the game. The second period brought more goals for Seattle as they added one from Keegan Kolesar just 38 seconds into the frame. At the 9:50 mark, Seattle made it 5-0 which sparked the Raiders intensity. Craig Leverton received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, 10-minute misconduct, and game misconduct. Shortly after, Sawyer Lange put the Raiders on the board to make it 5-1. Things got scrapy with a few minutes left in the second, as Mackenze Stewart and Evan Wardley went at it, several penalties were handed out before the period ended.
Some strong shifts and good play in the second period led into the third where Jayden Hart made it 5-2 on the powerplay just 1:10 into the frame. Despite a lot of action in the Seattle zone, the Raiders couldn’t put anything in the net but came close on a shot that hit the post and a goal that was disallowed on goaltender interference. Seattle added a sixth goal at the 18:10 mark to seal this game up, defeating the Raiders 6-2.
