Colliton Recalled
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Former Prince Albert Raider Captain Jeremy Colliton has been recalled by the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. Islander General Manager Garth Snow recalled Colliton yesterday to replace injured Miroslav Satan.
Colliton has appeared in 45 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League this season with 10 goals and 12 assists. Colliton has played in 20 NHL games prior to this season with the Islanders with 1 goal and 1 assist in those games in 2005-06 and 2006-07.
From 2001-05 Colliton appeared in 229 games for the Raiders with 71 goals and 105 assists in his Western Hockey League career.
Colliton will be in the lineup Feb.7 when the Islanders travel to Pittsburgh to play the Penguins.
Another Raider Alumni, Dane Byers, has been returned to Hartford of the AHL by the New York Rangers after making his NHL debut Tuesday.
