Sobry accepts Scholarship and Development Agreement with Raiders
The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce that Tyrone Sobry has accepted a Scholarship and Development Agreement with the team, and has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
A ninth round pick in the WHL Prospects Draft, the 16-year-old, 6’2 defenceman has burst onto the scene with the Saskatoon Contacts in the SMU18AAAHL this season. The Saskatoon product boasts a near point per game average, with 22 points (12G-10A) in 26 games, which ranks second in team scoring, and third in scoring by a defenceman in the entire league.
This season, Sobry has two multi-goal games, which included scoring his first U18 hat trick in a win over the Prince Albert Mintos on Thursday night. He has also been on scoring streaks of three or more games three times this season, which once included a stretch of three straight games with at least a goal.
Sobry and the Contacts are back in action on Saturday night in Regina.
