RE/MAX Presents: Be A Superhero for Children’s Miracle Network vs Broncos
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (24-5-4-0) face off against the Swift Current Broncos (8-24-1-0) for the second time in three nights, wrapping up a home and home set at the Art Hauser Centre. Prince Albert decimated Swift Current 7-1 on Saturday night, outshooting their East Division opponents 47-18. 15 of the 18 Raiders skaters had at least one point in the win. Daxon Rudolph, Max Heise, Riley Boychuk, Alisher Sarkenov, Jonah Sivertson, and Brandon Gorzynski each had two point nights.
WHO CAN STOP RUDOLPH?:
Daxon Rudolph extended his point streak to nine games in Saturday’s win over the Broncos. In that stretch, the sophomore defenceman has nine goals and seven assists for 16 points! He is tied with Brandon Gorzynski for the team lead in goals (16), and is tied for third in team scoring with 34 points. It may still be too soon to be looking further ahead, but Rudolph is now just 12 goals shy of tying Josh Morrissey’s single season record for goals by a Raiders defenceman. Morrissey scored 28 in the 2013-14 season. With 35 games left in the 2025-26 season, could Rudolph break the record?? Rudolph also has eight powerplay goals this season, which only trails Morrissey by three for most in a single season, which he also set 2013-14.
SARK ATTACK:
In his first game back in the Raiders lineup, Alisher Sarkenov looked like he hadn’t missed a beat. After representing Kazakhstan at the Division 1, Group A World Juniors, Sarkenov scored a goal and added an assist on Saturday in Swift Current. In 15 regular season games with the Raiders, Sarkenov has seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.
MISSING PIECES:
Matyas Man and Michal Orsulak will continue to be away from the team, as they are playing for Czechia at the 2026 World Juniors Championship in Minnesota.
UPCOMING MILESTONES:
Justice Christensen: 5 goals away from 50
Daxon Rudolph: Three games away from 100
Riley Boychuk: Four games away from 100
UP NEXT:
One home and home leads to another. After tonight’s matchup against the Broncos, the Raiders will begin another home and home series, this time with the Regina Pats on the weekend. Prince Albert will host Regina on Friday night, and then travel to the Brandt Centre on Saturday night.
