RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (7-6-3-0) begin their longest road trip of the season tonight when they take on the Kootenay ICE (8-9-1-0) in Cranbrook tonight. In the Raiders’ last game, they were edged 3-2 by the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre. Curtis Miske scored on a breakaway in the second period. With the Raiders down 3-1, Jordy Stallard tallied his team-leading 13th goal to round out the scoring. Ian Scott made 25 saves in a losing effort.
VS. KOOTENAY: This is the first meeting of the year between the Raiders and the ICE. Last year, the Raiders won three of their four games against the Kootenay ICE, splitting the two games at Western Financial Place.

SHUTTING THE DOOR: Goaltender Ian Scott has three career WHL shutouts and all three have come against the Kootenay ICE. The Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick shut out the ICE twice at the Art Hauser Centre last season. He also blanked Kootenay in his rookie season in Cranbrook on October 17, 2015.
FITTING IN: Brett Leason has adjusted well to joining the Prince Albert Raiders. The ’99-born forward from Calgary had a point in each of the Raiders’ three games last week. He has a goal and two assists in four games with the Raiders.
CENTURY MAN: Captain Curtis Miske picked up his 100th career point with a goal on Saturday night against Moose Jaw. The overager has amassed 41 goals and 59 assists in 203 career WHL games.
ROAD WARRIORS: The Raiders are going to become quite familiar with the open road over the next month. Twelve of their next 13 games are on the road, starting with tonight’s game.
NEXT UP: The Raiders cross the border to take on the teams in the US Division beginning on Sunday in Portland against the Winterhawks (12-4-0-0). Game time is 7 p.m. CST.
