Heise drafted by Sharks
The Prince Albert Raiders saw one named called at the NHL Draft, and it was their newest signed player. After signing with the Raiders last week, Max Heise was drafted by the San Jose Sharks. The forward was selected in the fifth round, 150th overall in the 2025 NHL Draft on Saturday.
Heise signed with the Raiders on June 25th after playing with the BCHL’s Penticton Vees over the past two seasons. He scored 33 career goals in the BCHL, while adding 26 assists to total 59 points.
Heise will play his 19-year-old season next year in Prince Albert, adding a 6’3, 170lb frame to the lineup.
With the 2025 NHL Draft in the books, Heise being drafted to the Sharks marks three straight years of a Raider being selected in the draft. Prince Albert has had at least one player selected in 15 of the last 17 drafts.
