Game Preview: Raiders vs. Kootenay
RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (17-41-5-2) wrap up the week’s schedule on Autism Awareness Night when the Kootenay ICE (14-39-8-2) visit the Art Hauser Centre. Last night, the Raiders dropped a 5-2 game to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Prince Albert. The Hurricanes stormed out to a 2-0 lead after the first period following power-play goals from Matt Alfaro and Zak Zborosky. In the second, Simon Stransky got the Raiders on the board midway through the frame. However, the ‘Canes restored their two-goal lead late in the second. Max Martin then solved Ryan Gilchrist with 2:30 to play in the middle frame to make it a 3-2 game. The Hurricanes pulled away in the third on goals from Tyler Wong and Alfaro. Nicholas Sanders got the call in goal for the Raiders, making 36 saves in the loss.
