Game Day: November 20 vs Medicine Hat
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders (8-8-2-0) extended their winning streak to four games on Saturday night, as they beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-1. With the win, Prince Albert moved into a playoff spot, taking over the eighth seed.
WHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
To nobody’s surprise, Raiders forward Tomas Mrsic was named the WHL Player of the Week after an exceptional weekend. The winger scored his first career hat trick as part of a 5-3 win over the Tri-City Americans on Friday night, and followed that up with a two goal, two assist performance on Saturday against Edmonton. His seven points in two games catapulted him to the top of the Raiders scoring lead.
MRSIC VS RITCHIE:
A trade that happened over the summer is going head to head tonight. Tomas Mrsic will face his former Tigers squad tonight, while Ryder Ritchie returns to the Art Hauser Centre for the first time since game four of the playoffs last season. Mrsic has 25 points this season, while Ritchie recently returned to the Tigers lineup after an injury. In six games, Ritchie has a goal and an assist.
APPROACHING MILESTONES:
Aiden Oiring: Playing in his 150th WHL game tonight.
Tomas Mrsic: three games away from 150.
Harrison Lodewyk: One point away from 50.
