MOVING UP: Ozzy Wiesblatt took over second place in team scoring when he found the back of the net on Friday night. The power-play marker put him in a tie for the team lead with five. He also now has 10 power-play goals in his career. The 2020 NHL Draft prospect now has 13 goals to go along with 19 assists this year, trailing just Aliaksei Protas on the squad. The goal also gave Wiesblatt a point in seven of his past eight contests.
STREAK SNAPPED: Spencer Moe had his six-game point streak halted on Friday night against the Rockets. In that span, Moe had three goals and six assists. The Calgary, AB product was rewarded for his play in November as he took home the Lionel Diehl Memorial Hardest Working Player Award for the month prior to Friday’s game.
FEEL THE POWER: The Raiders have scored a power-play goal in three consecutive games. Over that span, the Raiders are 3/8 with the man advantage. The Raiders have the sixth-ranked power play in the league this season, converting on 22.2% of their chances.
OUT OF THE LINEUP: Friday night was the first game missed by Aliaksei Protas and Ilya Usau as they are representing Belarus at the 2020 IIHF World Under-20 Championship – Division 1 Group A. The tournament begins on Monday in Minsk when Protas, Usau, and Belarus take on Austria.
