Leavitt Machinery Preview – Game 4 at Moose Jaw
RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (3-0-0-0) head to Moose Jaw tonight to face off against the Warriors (0-2-0-0) at Mosaic Place. Last night, the Raiders continued their hot start to the season with a 5-3 win over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers, extending their win streak to three games. Sean Montgomery’s shorthanded goal in the third period held up as the game winner. Cole Fonstad had a goal and an assist, while Brett Leason contributed three assists. Ozzy Wiesblatt and Justin Nachbaur also scored for Prince Albert. Ian Scott made his third straight start, stopping 35 shots for the win.
VS. MOOSE JAW: This is the first of six meetings between the Raiders and the Warriors this season. Last year, the Raiders won three of the eight matchups against the Warriors. The two teams met in the first round of the WHL Playoffs, with the Raiders bowing out in seven games.

SNIPING SHORTHANDED: Sean Montgomery’s shorthanded goal was the first for the Raiders this season. In his 281-game career, the Calgary product has four shorthanded goals. It was his first shorthanded marker since February 15, 2017 against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
FIRING AWAY: Despite only recording one shot on goal on Friday night, Brett Leason still leads the WHL in that category entering Saturday’s action with 24 on the season. The Calgary product found other ways to contribute to the offence on Friday night, dishing out three assists on the evening. It was the first time in his career that Leason has recorded three assists in a game.
MILESTONE WATCH: Jeremy Masella is one game away from 100 in his WHL career. In his first 99 games split between the Raiders and Victoria Royals, the Phoenix, AZ product has four goals and 13 assists.
