Four Raiders invited to Canada U17 Camp; U18 Program of Excellence summer camps
The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce that four Raiders have been named to Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence camps. Daxon Rudolph and Riley Boychuk will attend U18 camp ahead of the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Brno, Czechia and Trencin, Slovakia. Brock Cripps and Ben Harvey will be heading to U17 camp, looking to crack a roster spot on either Canada Red or White at the 2025 U17 World Hockey Challenge.
Rudolph was a member of the Canadian team that won gold at the 2025 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship in Texas in May. Both he and Boychuk also won gold at the 2024 U17 World Hockey Challenge, alongside Raiders head coach Ryan McDonald.
Both Cripps and Harvey will look to follow in Rudolph and Boychuk’s footsteps this fall. They both have a shot to wear the maple leaf for the first time, and could land on the same team, whether it be Canada Red or White. McDonald is the head coach of Canada Red, so there is a chance they could land on the same team. That brings the possibility of back to back years of a trio of Raiders bringing home gold.
Harvey won gold with Team Alberta at the 2024 WHL Cup. He scored three times and added four assists in five games in the tournament. Cripps’ Team BC finished fourth in the tournament, which he had a tournament high eight assists in.
The U18 selection camp is scheduled from July 29-August 1. The U17 selection camp will run from July 19-23.
Good luck to these four Raiders, as they look to wear the maple leaf this year!
