Ice blank Hitmen

Cranbrook, BC – Calgary Flames draft pick Max Reinhart scored twice leading the Kootenay Ice to a 4-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen Saturday night in Cranbrook.

James Martin and Kevin King also produced goals for the Ice in their home opener.

Goaltender Nathan Lieuwen made 25 saves to record the shutout.

Meanwhile Hitmen netminder Juraj Holly made 30 saves in his Western Hockey League debut.

Calgary will now enjoy a full six days off before hosting New York Rangers first round draft pick Dylan MacIlrath and the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday night (7pm) at the Saddledome.

Saturday is Kids Day where all Kids 12 and under will receive a $5 ticket to the game with a regular adult admission.  Tickets are only available at the Saddledome box office.
