Capitals return Malenstyn to Hitmen
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced the return of Beck Malenstyn for the 2016-17 Western Hockey League season.
The third-year Hitmen forward was attending Washington Capitals training camp after being selected by the NHL club in the fifth round, 145th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft.
A recipient of Calgary’s Chrysler Canada Inc. Scholastic Player of the Year Award in 2015-16, Malenstyn also struck gold with Canada at the 2015 U18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.
Three Hitmen remain at NHL camps; Jake Bean (Carolina), Matteo Gennaro (Winnipeg) and Jordy Stallard (Winnipeg).
The 2-0 Hitmen return to action on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Lethbridge against the Hurricanes. Calgary then heads home to host the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, Oct. 7. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Packages include complimentary tickets to the first two Hitmen home playoff games along with game day savings vouchers for concessions, tickets and merchandise.
