Opening Night Festivities Approaching
The Prince George Cougars invite fans to join us for the Cougars Home Opener on Friday, October 1. The night will begin with a tailgate party outside CN Centre from 5:00 – 7:00pm prior to the first home game of the season against the Vancouver Giants.
Save On Foods will be selling hot dogs and pop with proceeds to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George. The event will also feature live entertainment, the 99-3 The Drive Prize team and many family activities. Northern Health and Canadian Cancer Society will be on hand to offer face painting and other fun games for young Cougars fans to take part in. There will also be a booth display from the Huble Homestead Historic Site.
That evening fans also have the opportunity to win a fantastic prize, courtesy of WestJet. The winner will earn a flight to any WestJet destination. Proceeds go towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s CIBC Run For a Cure, which takes place on Sunday, October 3.
“Once again, the Cougars are extremely excited to host our opening night festivities,” said Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. “We always have so much fun and we hope that our fans come down and join us as we raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George at our tailgate party and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation during the game.”

The Prince George Cougars host the Edmonton Oil Kings tonight and tomorrow night at CN Centre, starting at 7:00pm. The Cougars final home exhibition game will on Saturday, September 18 against the Kamloops Blazers, with puck drop at 7:00pm.
