Cougars To Participate In 15th Annual Interior Drive For Life.
The Prince George Cougars are proud to once again partner with Canadian Blood Services on Thursday, September 6th for the 15th annual Interior Drive for Life.
Starting at 11:00 AM, five members of the Prince George Cougars will be on hand at the Canadian Blood Services building to serve juice and cookies to blood donors who are participating in the Drive for Life challenge.
The Interior Drive for Life is a friendly competition between Prince George and Kelowna that lasts six weeks. During that time Canadian Blood Services in Prince George is hoping to find 94 new donors. The losing city’s mayor will wear the winning city’s WHL jersey to a council meeting. Kelowna won last year, and Prince George is ready to reclaim the trophy. Since 1998, Prince George has won the challenge seven times.
“We are happy to support Canadian Blood Services and the Interior Drive for Life,” said Prince George Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. “Hopefully we’ll have a great turnout on Thursday which leads to some new donors.”
The purpose of the Interior Drive for Life is to attract some Prince George residents that have not considered donating before.
Canadian Blood Services will be participating in the Tailgate Party/Home Opener for the Prince George Cougars on Friday, September 28th at CN Centre when the Cougars host the Seattle Thunderbirds. The Tailgate party will run from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM outside CN Centre.
Prince George Cougars season tickets are available through Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
