Cougars Partner With Hyundai Hockey Helpers.
The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce that they will be teaming up with Hyundai Hockey Helpers, a national campaign, to raise money to support Prince George KidSport. The goal is to help at least 1000 under resourced kids nation-wide get into the game of hockey.
During all three home games this week (October 23rd, 24th and 27th) Hyundai Hockey Helpers will have a kiosk set up in Section H and will be accepting donations. All fans who make a donation will be eligible to enter a draw to win a game-worn Prince George Cougars jersey as well as tickets to upcoming games.
All proceeds from Saturday night’s Chuck A Puck sales will also go towards Prince George KidSport.
“This is a national program that will have a real impact on the lives of children right here in Prince George,” said Prince George Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. “Not only do I think it’s important to support our community in this way, but I’m proud to be a part of any type of fundraising effort which can bring a little happiness to children who may need assistance.“
Local Hyundai General Manager Kyle Bachman adds, “We are excited to partner with these organizations to help children develop in our community through great sports like hockey.”
Prince George KidSport was established in 2005, and its mandate is to provide grants to financially disadvantaged children to help cover the costs of sports registration fees. The local chapter of KidSport ensures that more Prince George kids get to play!
