PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars, in partnership with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and the Prince George Community Foundation, are thrilled to announce Community Heroes Weekend, presented by Inland Truck & Equipment, taking place Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 at the CN Centre when the Cougars host the Tri-City Americans.

The special weekend will celebrate the incredible individuals and organizations who make a difference in Prince George and the surrounding communities, while bringing fans together for two exciting nights of Cougars hockey in support of local causes.

Highlighting the weekend is a Mega 50/50 featuring a guaranteed $50,000 jackpot, giving fans the opportunity to win big while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Proceeds from the Mega 50/50 will support local non-profit organizations that make a difference every day, including the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society, RCMP Victim Services, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, and the Honour House Society.

Community Heroes Weekend is made possible through strong partnerships with local organizations that share a commitment to giving back. Both the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and the Prince George Community Foundation are proud to support this initiative, which recognizes the importance of community spirit, gratitude, and the everyday heroes who help make Northern BC a better place to live.

Fans are encouraged to pack the CN Centre for both games, show their support for our community heroes, and take part in the Mega 50/50.

Mega 50/50 tickets are on sale now, with the winning ticket to be drawn during the second intermission of Saturday night’s game.
