THREE U.S. JUNIORS AVAILABLE FOR WEEKEND
Chiefs forwards Drayson Bowman, Tyler Johnson and Mitch Wahl will all play for Spokane this weekend when the Seattle Thunderbirds visit the Arena for the second and third time this season. The three will represent the United States at the World Junior Hockey Championships and will leave for Lake Placid, NY on Monday.
USA Hockey will provide exclusive, behind-the-scenes coverage of Team USA at the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, set for Dec. 26, 2008 – Jan. 5, 2009, in Ottawa.
Through USAHockey.com‘s free all-access World Junior Championship pass, Team USA fans will gain entry to exclusive video footage, including game highlights and behind-the-scenes features available only at USAHockey.com. In addition, live game blogs, a player blog, feature stories, game recaps, statistics and photos will all be part of the exclusive coverage provided live from Ottawa.
All-access pass coverage for the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship begins on Dec. 15, as the team begins its pre-tournament camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. The camp runs through Dec. 19 … The NHL Network will broadcast live all Team USA games in the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship … The United States will play two pre-tournament games prior to the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship, including Dec. 21 against Latvia and Dec. 23 against Russia in Kingston, Ont. Team USA opens tournament play on Dec. 26 against Germany.
The first NHL Network broadcast from the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place on Dec. 26 at 3:30 p.m. EST, when Team USA faces Germany. The complete schedule is below.
