CHIEFS TO BROADCAST 10 GAMES ON SWX
The Spokane Chiefs, in conjunction with the Tri-City Americans, SWX in Spokane and KVEW-TV in Tri-City, have announced a 10 game broadcast schedule that will feature five live broadcasts out of each market during the 2012-13 WHL regular season. Northern Quest Resort and Casino will be the title sponsor for each of the broadcasts.
The broadcast schedule will begin on Saturday, September 22nd when the Chiefs open the season in Kennewick’s Toyota Center. Spokane’s home opener on Saturday, September 29th in the Spokane Arena will also be broadcast live. All broadcasts will begin at 7:00 p.m.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the Spokane Chiefs and look forward to featuring their fantastic brand of hockey on our broadcast schedule,” SWX Station Manager John Fritz said. “SWX is committed to providing fans with the area’s premier local sports coverage, so having the premier rivalry in the WHL on our air makes it a perfect fit.”
The broadcasts will be seen live in Spokane on SWX via Comcast on channel 115 and over-the-air at digital channel 6.2. The games will be seen live in Tri-City on MeTV via Charter Cable channel 280 and on digital channel 42.2.
