Chiefs Fight Hunger Week nets over 16,000 meals for local families
Spokane, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that the recently completed Chiefs Fight Hunger Week presented by Numerica raised $3,224 which will result in 16,120 meals.
The promotion aimed at helping hungry families in the Inland Northwest via Second Harvest, a local non-profit that brings community resources together to feed people in need through empowerment, education and partnerships. Every dollar donated helps get food to where it’s needed most, bringing food—and hope—to the tables of our neighbors in need. Every dollar donated creates five meals!
Funds were raised via bids made in an online memorabilia auction, special gear purchased at the Chiefs’ Online Team Store and direct donations from Numerica Credit Union and Chiefs fans.
Any fans who missed out but are still interested in helping can learn more about Second Harvest at 2-harvest.org.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Chiefs Fight Hunger Week!
