Chiefs announce 34-game home schedule for 2022-23 season
Spokane, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs announced their 34-game home schedule for the 2022-23 season, which included 29 games on weekend nights.
The Chiefs will face-off against the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday, October 1 with their home opener. The Chiefs will play on 13 Fridays, 13 Saturdays and 3 Sunday games. The remainder of the home schedule will take place on Tuesdays (1 game) and Wednesdays (4 games).
In addition to the Home Opener, traditional fan favorite promotional nights have been tentatively scheduled for the following nights:
- Teddy Bear Toss Presented by TDS Fiber – Saturday, December 3 vs Lethbridge
- Military Appreciation Night – Saturday, January 21 vs Victoria
- Chiefs Fight Cancer Night Presented by Inland Imaging – Saturday, February 25 vs Tri-City
“We’re excited to play a full slate of 34 home games this season in front of the best fans in the WHL,” Chiefs President Mark Miles said. “With 29 weekend games, there are many great opportunities for the people of our community to come out and enjoy a game with their families.”
Ticket packages are currently on sale at the Chiefs ticket office, and are available by calling 509-535-PUCK. Fans can also book group outings of 10 or more for any of the 34 home games. Individual game tickets will go on sale in September.
In total, the Chiefs will play 68 regular season games – 34 home and 34 away. Spokane will play U.S. Division rival Tri-City six times at home and Everett, Portland and Seattle four times each at home. Each B.C. Division team will visit the Arena twice.
The Chiefs’ home schedule features a return to the Spokane Arena for the six teams in the Central Division, including the defending WHL Champion Edmonton Oil Kings in the second home game of the year on Friday, October 7. It will be the first time since the 2018-19 season that Central Division clubs visit Spokane.
Spokane’s complete 2022-23 promotional schedule* will be released at a future date, in addition to the away portion of the WHL game schedule.
