TOMMY LAFRENIERE SIGNED TO WHL SCHOLARSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
KAMLOOPS BLAZERS SIGN 2007-BORN FORWARD TOMMY LAFRENIERE
Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have announced today that the hockey club has signed 2007-born forward Tommy Lafreniere to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Lafreniere was selected by the Blazers in the eighth round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Lafreniere is from Hornby Island, BC and has played the 2021-22 season with Yale U15 Prep and the 2022-23 season with Yale U17 Prep. The 5’10” and 150lb forward had nine goals, 30 assists and 39 points in 34 games this past season with Yale U17 Prep.
“We would like to welcome Tommy and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” said General Manager / Head Coach, Shaun Clouston. “We are excited to be a part of Tommy’s development over the coming seasons.”
Lafreniere is the seventh player signed in the 2007-born age group. He joins goaltender Logan Edmonstone, defenseman Isa Guram along with forwards Nathan Behm, Andrew Thomson, Zach Pantelakis and Hudson Closson.
