HANSEN WINS BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Tyler Hansen and the Lethbridge Giants have won the Prairie Big League championships (Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and have advanced to the Canadian Big League championships in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. During the 15 game summer tournament schedule, Tyler batted .594 with 3 – HR, 3 – triples, 9 – doubles, 22 singles and 2 strike outs. The Canadian Championships run from July 19 to July 24th with the winner advancing to South Carolina for the Big League World Series from July 27th – August 3rd.

Tyler Hansen and the Lethbridge Giants have won the Big League Canadian Championships with a 12-2 win over the 2-time defending champion Cape Breton Dodgers in the final. Tyler contributed in the final with a 360 foot, 2-run home run in the 3rd to make it 7 to 1. The Giants are on their way to Easley, South Carolina for the Big League World Series representing Canada. They open against the Netherlands this Thursday at 7:00 P.M.

Tyler will be competing in the Home Run Derby on Tuesday night.
