BLAZERS WIN 5-3 OVER BRONCOS ON MARK RECCHI NIGHT
Josh Pillar scored his first career WHL goal with 3:12 to go in the game to help the Blazers to a 5-3 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Friday night at home.
15-year-old Kamloops native Logan Stankoven made his WHL debut and assisted on the game winning goal from Pillar.
Luc Smith had a solid night with two goals and an assist while Connor Zary and Zane Franklin also added goals in the win.
Dylan Ferguson stopped 21 shots for the win, while Joel Hofer turned aside 35 shots. The Blazers were 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Broncos finished 1-for-5.
The Blazers improved to 3-6-0-1 on the season and will play next in Seattle next Friday night on October 26th.
