Week in Review:
Wednesday, November 21st, 2012 vs. Regina Pats – 2-1 Overtime Loss
It was one of those nights as the Blazers were snake bitten in a 2-1 overtime loss. The Blazers held a decisive advantage on the shot clock, but faced a hot goaltender in Teagan Sacher who stopped 40 of 41 shots. Tim Bozon beat Sacher to give the Blazers a 1-0 lead in the third period, but Lane Scheidl tied it up on the power play and scored the winner in overtime to help the Pats earn the extra point. Friday, November 23rd, 2012 vs. Saskatoon Blades – 3-2 Loss
The Blazers coughed up a 2-0 third period lead falling 3-2 to the 2013 Memorial Cup hosts. Chase Souto and Colin Smith gave the Blazers a 2-0 lead with goals in the second period. The Blades scored on their first two shots of the third period and Nathan Burns scored with winner with 1:01 left to play. For the second straight night, the Blazers held a decisive advantage on the shot clock at 43-22. Full Recap and Highlights.
Saturday, November 24th, 2012 vs. Vancouver Giants – 2-1 Win
Colin Smith scored twice to give the Blazers a 2-0 lead to help the Blazers win 2-1. An own goal in the third period was the only life the Giants got with goaltender Cole Cheveldave solid between the pipes making 26 saves to preserve the victory. JC Lipon recorded two assists and now has 53 points this season which is tops in the WHL. Full Recap and Highlights.
Teddy Bear Night / Sell Out for Christmas Amalgamated
The Annual Teddy Bear Toss night is this Saturday, December 1st when the Blazers host the Moose Jaw Warriors. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, scarf, toque or a pair of gloves to throw on the ice when the Blazers score their first goal of the game!
The Blazers are also looking to sell out the Interior Savings Centre this Saturday night for Teddy Bear Night! A large crowd is expected for the night, but if we reach a capacity crowd of 5,464, the Blazers plan on donating $1 from every ticket sold to Christmas Amalgamated. 5,464 fans = $5,464 that will be donated to help local families for Christmas!

The Home Stand Concludes this Weekend
The Blazers close a seven-game home stand this weekend as they host the Tri-City Americans on Friday night and the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. The Americans beat the Blazers in their only meeting this season in Tri-City 4-2 with the Americans scoring an empty net goal in Tri-City on November 11th.
The Warriors make their only appearance of this season on Saturday, December 1st. The Blazers host their annual Teddy Bear / Toque Toss that night. The hockey club is also looking to sell out the building and will donate $1 from every ticket sold to Christmas Amalgamated if we are able to achieve the goal! Capacity of the Interior Savings Centre is 5,464.

Blazers Rank 2nd in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings
The Blazers are ranked 2nd in the latest BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 with a 20-6-1-1 record. The Blazers have jumped around the Top 10 rankings all season. The Blazers were left off the initial rankings, but have been ranked every week since the season has started. To view the rankings, follow this link.
Raising Money for Movember
November is also Movember! The Blazers along with the other CHL teams are growing moustaches throughout the month to raise money and awareness surrounding men’s cancer. To donate, follow this link http://ca.movember.com/team/618077.
Gelsinger Re-assigned
The Blazers re-assigned 17-year-old forward Brayden Gelsinger following Saturday night’s game. The Regina native was pointless in 12 games this season. He is expected to join the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League’s Tisdale Trojans.
