CHLGOTW preview: no. 1 ranked Wildcats host Sea Dogs
The CHL Top 10’s no. 1 ranked Moncton Wildcats welcome the Saint John Sea Dogs in tonight’s CHL Game of the Week.
The Wildcats – who have held the no. 1 ranking for five weeks – are tied for the CHL lead with 15 wins. Led by 2025 NHL Draft prospect Caleb Desnoyers, Moncton’s 89 goals lead the QMJHL while they are the second most in the CHL. Alongside Desnoyers’ 12 goals, Alex Mercier (13), Markus Vidicek (10) and Yoan Loshing (10) have all reached double digit goals too.
As for Saint John, d-man Nate Tivey has a team best 22 points while NHL prospects Eriks Mateiko (WSH) and Tyler Peddle (CBJ) have 15 points each.
Moncton haven’t lost in regulation since Oct. 20 while the Sea Dogs enter tonight’s contest on a three-game losing streak.
