Smolenak and Hesmatpour added to Home Hardware Top Prospects Game Roster
Vancouver, BC – Radek Smolenak of the Kingston Frontenacs and Devereaux Heshmatpour of the Oshawa Generals have been added to the roster of players who will compete in the 2005 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game this week in Vancouver.
The players were added to replace Sidney Crosby of the Rimouski Oceanic and defenceman Chad Denny of the Lewiston MAINEiacs, who are unable to play in the game due to injury.
Smolenak and Heshmatpour will suit up for Team Cherry. Bobby Ryan of the Owen Sound Attack and Chris Durand of the Seattle Thunderbirds have been moved to Team Davidson while Patrick Davis of the Kitchener Rangers was moved to Team Cherry.
The Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will showcase 40 of the CHL’s top players that are eligible for selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The players were selected by the National Hockey League’s 30 teams.
The 2005 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be broadcast live across Canada on Rogers Sportsnet and RDS (7:00 p.m. Pacific/10:00 p.m. Eastern). The event will also feature a skills competition on Tuesday January 18 at Pacific Coliseum.
