Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Louis Domingue of the Quebec Remparts is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending September 26.  Domingue backstopped the Remparts to two wins posting a goals-against-average of 1.50 and save percentage of .930. 

Domingue returned to the Remparts lineup and made his first two starts of the season beginning Friday night against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies where he made 28 saves in a 12-2 win.  One night later against the Halifax Mooseheads, Domingue allowed a first period goal before shutting the door with 12 saves to help the Remparts comeback with a 4-1 win to notch their 11th point in six games to sit first place in the Telus East Division standings. 

Domingue, an 18-year-old from Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec, is playing in his third QMJHL season after being selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.   

Nathan Lieuwen of the Kootenay Ice made 25 saves to shutout the Calgary Hitmen 4-0 on Saturday as the game’s third star to receive consideration for the award.  In the OHL, Philipp Grubauer of the Kingston Frontenacs posted a goals-against-average of 2.00 and save percentage of .954 in two starts that included a shutout victory with 44 saves to beat the Belleville Bulls 3-0 as first star of the game.
