Hawery shines as Colts rebound to beat London
After an opening loss in their first game, the Barrie Colts bounced back with a 4-2 victory over the London Jr. Knights.
Underage forward Logan Hawery (2G, 1A) extended his goal and points streak to three games after a three-point performance in the win. Jonathan Cirone (1G, 1A) and Owen Bruining (2A) both had multi-point games for the Colts, while Ethen Fines (1G) had the insurance marker on the power play.
Colts captain Nolan Jackson highlighted the importance of the win saying, “We played a strong a game, played our game, forechecked hard and ultimately came out with an important first win here. We’re going to build on this, and continue to get stronger.”
Forward Aiden Young (2G) scored both goals for the Jr. Knights as he earned BARDOWN Player of the Game honours for his team.
Barrie improves to 1-1 and will take on the Whitby Wildcats tomorrow at 12:30pm. London will look for their first win tomorrow morning at 9:00am against the Southern Tier Admirals
