New faces join Team OHL lineup in London

 

Six new faces will be in the Team OHL lineup for tonight’s Game 4 of the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series in London, Ont. Learn all about them here.

Tyler Angle (Windsor Spitfires):
Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Tyler Angle joins the Team OHL lineup tonight in London, slotting in for injured Barrie Colts forward Ryan Suzuki.

Angle is in the midst of his most productive OHL season to date, leading the Spitfires with 23 points (11-12–23). The Thorold, Ont. native is one of the few holdovers from the Spitfires’ 2017 Memorial Cup championship squad and has points in eight of his last nine games.

Declan Chisholm (Peterborough Petes):
Winnipeg Jets prospect Declan Chisholm of the Peterborough Petes joins the OHL blue line for Game 4.

The 19-year-old is tied for third in Petes team scoring and sits second among OHL defencemen with 24 points (1-23–24) on the campaign. Chisholm recently went on a 15-game point streak that ended last weekend.

Chisholm represented Team OHL last year and was in attendance at Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp in August.

Hunter Jones (Peterborough Petes):
Chisholm’s Peterborough Petes teammate Hunter Jones will be in the OHL crease tonight after suiting up in a 3-2 loss to the Ottawa 67’s on Sunday.

Jones, a Minnesota Wild second round pick, owns the OHL’s third-best goals-against average of 2.68 to go with a .911 save percentage and record of 12-2-1-0. The Brantford, Ont. native is in the midst of his third OHL season.

Jones participated in last year’s CIBC Canada Russia Series and attended Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp in August.

Jordan Kooy (Sarnia Sting):
Sarnia Sting netminder Jordan Kooy returns to the building he spent the past three seasons in as a member of the London Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights prospect is 2-2-1-1 this season over seven appearances between the Sting and the Knights. The 19-year-old Bradford, Ont. product is a former recipient of the OHL’s F.W. Dinty Moore Trophy when he posted the league’s lowest rookie G.A.A. of 3.11 during the 2017-18 season.

Kooy was on the Team OHL roster for last year’s CIBC Canada Russia Series.

Allan McShane (Oshawa Generals):
Montreal Canadiens prospect Allan McShane joins Team OHL in London. The 19-year-old joins teammate Serron Noel in the lineup.

McShane sits second in Generals team scoring with 20 points (5-15–20) over 18 contests. The Collingwood, Ont. native was a fourth round pick of Montreal in the 2018 NHL Draft.

McShane makes his CIBC Canada Russia Series debut tonight. He attended Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp in August.

Jamieson Rees (Sarnia Sting):
Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jamieson Rees enters tonight’s action with the OHL’s second-highest points-per-game trend and is sure to add some punch to the lineup.

The Sarnia Sting forward has 26 points (10-16–26) over 11 games this season, producing 2.36 points-per-game, second only to London’s Connor McMichael.

A former Hlinka Gretzky Cup gold medalist, Rees was at Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp in August.
