Video: Mazda OHL Plays of the Week – Week 25
The Mazda OHL Plays of the Week for Week 25 marks the end of regular season action March 14, 2010, and is headlined by Jeff Skinner of the Kitchener Rangers with his 50th goal of the season. He was one of only two OHL players to score 50 this season including Bryan Cameron of the Barrie Colts who finished the season with 53 goals.
Skinner scored the milestone goal on Friday night as part of a two goal performance as first star of a 5-4 win over the Owen Sound Attack. His 50th proved to be the game-winner with just 11 seconds left in the game. Skinner is the first Ranger to score 50 goals since Ron Goodall in 1986-87.
Skinner, a 17-year-old from Markham, ON, is playing in his second OHL season and finished the year with 50 goals and 60 assists for 90 points in 64 games tied for seventh in league scoring with teammate Chris MacKinnon who set up his 50th goal. Skinner is eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
