Locke named OHL Player of the Week
Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Ottawa 67’s captain Corey Locke is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday September 28 after scoring four goals and four assists in three games.
Locke opened the week with a goal and an assist in a 6-2 loss to the London Knights on September 26. He followed up with two goals, including the game-winner, and three assists in a 10-2 win over the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors on September 27 and concluded the week with a goal in a 5-4 loss to the Brampton Battalion on September 29.
Locke, a 19-year-old Newmarket native, led all Canadian Hockey League scorers with 151 points last season. He currently leads all OHL scorers with six goals and six assists for 12 points in five games.
