Friday Highlights: Clutch Cassels

Cole Cassels led like a captain on Friday night in Oshawa. Cassels recorded his first OHL playoff hat-trick, pacing the Oshawa Generals to a 4-2 series clinching victory over the Niagara IceDogs at the General Motors Centre.

The Vancouver Canucks prospect was in on all four goals, scoring three of them as the Generals took the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series 4-1 and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season. Watch   #OSHvsNIAG

Matt Mistele scored the other goal for Oshawa as the Generals went 3-for-4 on the man advantage. Defencemen Brian Brosnan and Ryan Mantha responded for the IceDogs.

The Generals will await the winner of a series between the Barrie Colts and North Bay Battalion that features a Game 5 matchup on Saturday at 7:30pm. The Battalion currently lead the series 3-1. In addition to being televised in local markets, the game can be seen on Rogers Sports+ Digital Channel 368 for all Rogers Digital Cable subscribers.
