Sting signs forward JJ Franceschetti
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced that the Hockey Club has signed 19-year-old free agent JJ Franceschetti to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Franceschetti, a 5’10” native of Toronto, spent the 2023-24 season with the Toronto Patriots of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). The competitive forward tallied 20 points in 35 games played with 4 goals and 16 assists. He’s a former eighth round pick of the Erie Otters in 2021.
On the addition of Franceschetti, Seca comments:
“JJ is a player that caught the eye of our staff over the last year. He’s a competitive player who is comfortable with his physical play. We believe his character, compete level and leadership will help support the younger players. We welcome the Franceschetti family to Sarnia”.
