Slovak forward Roman Kukumberg commits to Sting
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the Hockey Club has signed Slovakian prospect Roman Kukumberg to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Standard Player Agreement.
A native of Bratislava, Slovakia, Kukumberg was selected by the Sting 43rd overall in the 2023 Canadian Hockey League (CHL) Import Draft. Standing at 6’0, 183-pounds, Kukumberg tallied 6 goals and 8 assists for a total of 14 points through 38 regular season games played with the Slovan Bratislava team in the SvkE this season. The 18-year-old left-shooting winger also represented Slovakia in multiple international tournaments over the last two seasons. Most recently, Kukumberg tallied a goal and 3 assists through seven games played in the 2023 U18 World Hockey Championships.
On signing Kukumberg, Seca comments:

The Sting look forward to opening training camp in late August as part of preparations for the 2023-24 OHL season, set to start on Friday, September 29th when the Sting host the Windsor Spitfires at Progressive Auto Sales Arena at 7:05pm.
