Roenick Jodoin commits to Colts
Barrie, ON – The Barrie Colts are happy to announce the signing of 2020 eighth-round draft pick, Roenick Jodoin.
The 5-foot-6, 150lb forward from Cornwall, Ontario was drafted by the Colts 149th overall in the eighth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.
Jodoin played the 2019-20 season for the Cornwall Colts U18 program where he compiled 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) in 45 games.
“Jodoin was one of the best surprises of training camp. He came into each skate and caught our staff’s attention every time. He is great example of a player who’s worked hard on his game and worked his way onto the team,” commented Marty Williamson, Head Coach & GM.
Assistant General Manager Rob Stewart added: “Roenick is a quick skater that plays a very well-rounded game and was a player our Ottawa region scouts really loved. He is a player that, despite his size, plays the game hard and is always noticeable on the ice. He’s been a great surprise at camp and a player that will quickly become a fan favourite here in Barrie.”
