Saginaw fell in overtime after going goal-for-goal with Newfoundland throughout the game.
- Sixth overall selection Drew Bate recorded a goal and an assist
- Gensen Geldart dished out three assists
- Jacob Cloutier scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period
Oshawa Generals vs. Owen Sound Attack
Final: 5 (OSH) – 3 (OS)
Four power-play goals helped lift Oshawa to victory.

Erie scored four unanswered goals to pull away for the win.

- Eleven different Otters found the scoresheet, including Colton Cribari, who tallied a goal and an assist along with the eventual game-winner
Brantford Bulldogs vs. Barrie Colts

Barrie scores three in the first period to secure first preseason victory.
